Seine Krebserkrankung war noch nicht diagnostiziert, aber eins war klar: Er konnte die schwere Kamera - seine geliebte 16 mm Eclair - nicht mehr tragen. Er konnte nicht mehr reisen, keine Filme mehr machen. Das deprimierte ihn zutiefst.
